I've been watching this nest of Mourning Doves in my front yard for several weeks.
In that bottom pic, the father is sitting on this baby...
I know it's the father, because I spent at least an hour researching them.
The father sits on the nest during the day, then they switch shifts,
and the mother sits at night.
