2/17/11 -- Advocacy

We headed to the capitol today to meet with our state legislatures.

She was very poised.

Firm handshake.

Looked them right in the eye.

Smiled.

"I am 7 years old and I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 2."

One representative has a picture of her that sits on an office shelf.

She recognized her as "The Girl In My Office".

She told her how grown up she is becoming.

And even commented that her hair is much longer.

That's my girl.
